Winter in Wakefield, MA

Ah, we love our new house, and the neighborhood we live in. Our neighbors are super friendly (today, one of them used his snowblower to help me clear the very long sidewalk in front and to the side of my house).  This is awesome!

And winter in Wakefiled is beautiful, just look at the pictures I took today after winter storm Niko blew through New England.

New Carstensen Home

One week away from the closing day on our new home.  We are super excited, and can’t wait to move into our new home.  Move-in will happen October 1 & 2, and we look forward to hosting friends and family at the new Carstensen residence.

And Red Sox Win

Great seats and a good game, with the Red Sox beating the previously unbeaten Orioles 4 to 2.  Here are a few pictures from our seats – I bought a 10-game season ticket, so will have the chance to see more games this year than in previous years.

Going to Red Sox Game

Excited about going to my first game this season, Red Sox vs. Orioles.  Christopher and I will be cheering on the home team – Red Sox are 3 and 4, and Orioles are 7 and 0 – so tough match-up.  Hoping for a win.

Summer 2015 on Cape Cod (Harwich)

We arrived Saturday, August 8 for our two-week vacation on Cape Cod.  This year we are staying in Harwich, as we couldn’t find a house in Falmouth that would accept a pet.  The house we are renting this year is very nice, and here are some pictures of the inside.  Lovely 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 baths, 2 decks for outdoor living, and right near the Cape Cod Rail Trail.

Summer 2014 Vacation

I know, I have been very lax in posting content, and I will try to do better.  We had a fantastic family reunion / vacation this summer in Poggelow and Berlin, and I will be posting some pictures shortly.

Jimmy Fund Walk

Survived a half marathon walk to benefit the Jimmy Fund.  Here we are at the finish line, 3:30 hours and 13.4 miles after starting in Wellesley.

Cape Cod Vacation

Uhhhh, we have arrived, let the fun begin.  Falmouth is such a beautiful place, this is a picture I took on my morning walk.  Doesn’t get any better than this.
